Alum Resources: Home

While you are no longer a student, the library will continue to provide support and resources for your ministry.  Please feel free to contact the Circulation Desk for information and to set up accounts.

ALUMNI Policies:

As alumni, you will still have access to many of the Hasse Library resources. However, because most institutions don’t allow their students to have access to resources after they have graduate, we have to manually switch over your account from a student account to an alumni account. So, we will need to know your new  contact information and the items you will be changing over to the alumni account.

As alumni, you will continue to have access to many of our library’s items, but you will not be able to borrow through MOBIUS or Interlibrary Loan (since these items belong to other libraries). So, all MOBIUS and ILL items will need to be returned. But most Hasse Library items can switch over from your student account to your alumni account.

If you are graduating but staying for an additional Concordia Seminary St. Louis program (such as MDiv à STM) you will remain a student in our library accounts system, nothing changes, and you do not need to return your items.

Books and Research Support

You can obtain a library card as an alum and check out items including important vocational materials from our collection.   We are also happy to ship items to you if they are not easily accessible in another way.

Along with access to our collection, the library is happy to provide research support for your ministry whether you are looking for an Encyclopedia entry or doing more in-depth research on a key issue in your congregation, we want to help.  We can provide scans, books, and links to valuable resources

The logos below provide links to freely available research tools that can help you to identify relevant resources.  The library is happy to help with using these tools and navigating how to obtain materials.

You are an alum!

As an alum, you do have access to the ATLA database.  For the link to this e-resource and the login information, please send an email to to request access.

Additional databases are available for in house use if you are located close to the library.

You may also want to check our Open Access research guide where we keep a list of relevant resources that are freely available online.
