Search Tips

 

We have been exploring the Loeb Classical Library Online and have found some interesting search tools that you might find helpful. 

First, not only can you search within a specific text but you can search across the online corpus for a word or phrase:

Here I searched for "Eve" in the Latin library, and then selected more specifically the period of 400-500 AD. I could have also specified Form (poetry or prose) and genre. 

 

If you click on one of these author/text options you will see a preview of the text with the search word and where in teh text the word has been found:

 

When you click on one of the options you will be taken to that section of the text with your search term highlighted. The following image shows how I then commented with my own notes on a section from the text that my search found (the highlighted portion):
